For most of my life, I thought that 5* hotels are for the others. For better, more valuable and more affluent people.
When I was the first time in a 5* hotel about 7 years ago, I felt constantly that they recognized where I come from: from a very poor family. My father died one year after I was born and my mother had three small children. We often could not even afford bottled water. We four stayed in a two bedroom apartment.
I had no experience of beautiful places.
6 years ago I decided to get familiar with extraordinarily beautiful places. To enjoy them. To allow myself to be there. I went to Zurich and other cities in 5 * hotels, visited the cafe and ordered a tea. I learned to endure the looks (and my thoughts and beliefs). I learned to enjoy that a waiter comes to help me sit down on the chair. In one house I could even accept that I didn’d have to pay for my tea at breakfast time, incl. non-ordered pastries.
It was a self-development project to meet my insecurity and my trembling habit – by going to these places over and over again. A project of a special kind. Aesthetic, luxurious and elegant things are for me.
And today I can be in this beautiful ambience and work there with my clients, enjoying the high vibe atmosphere.
What are for you beautiful, high-vibe places? Where do you feel really good?
